Choose the subject before filling in the scene
Go to Image in the generator. Existing Character starts from a companion; New Image is the alternative for a new visual idea. Once that choice is made, describe the setting and composition around it.
- Choose Existing Character and select your subject, or begin with New Image.
- Use the parameter controls or describe the scene through a text prompt.
- Set Portrait, Landscape or Square to suit the composition you have in mind.
- Read the requested image count and total token charge together.
- Choose Generate Image after reviewing the request, then inspect the picture before making a variation.
Build a visual brief from the subject outward
Picture a fictional adult jazz pianist on an empty rehearsal stage. A useful prompt can specify a mustard-colored shirt, a seated pose beside the piano, a medium shot and soft side lighting. These are visible details the image brief can describe, rather than a biography the picture cannot show.
Decide whether you want realistic, anime or another available visual direction and keep the instructions compatible. With an existing character selected, concentrate on the new pose, surroundings and framing instead of rewriting the character's entire appearance.
- For a character portrait, state the pose, expression and amount of the figure to include.
- For the rehearsal-stage scene, explain where the piano sits in relation to the subject instead of listing unrelated props.
- For a picture you may animate, leave the relevant hands, objects or space visible for the intended movement.
Review details before asking for another version
Compare the result with your brief. Look at the subject, hands, instrument or other objects, and the composition as a whole. Choose a specific revision, such as a wider view of the piano, and retain the wording you used so the next change has a clear purpose.
Recent Generations includes an image filter and the My and Everyone views. Check the selected view when locating a result. Before sharing, confirm the output's visibility separately; a browsing label is not a privacy control.
The listed image-generation charge is 2 tokens. Use the total shown for the actual image count rather than treating a larger request as the same purchase. An unlimited-message subscription still leaves media spending to account for.
Common questions
What is DarLink's AI image generator, and how do I start?
It creates pictures from an existing character or a new visual brief. Select a companion or New Image, then use the parameter controls or a text prompt to describe the scene. Choose the framing and review the image count and charge before generating.
Can an existing DarLink companion appear in a different setting?
Yes. Select that character as your subject and describe the setting or pose you want. Avoid instructions that replace the defining features you meant to keep.
Is a written prompt the only way to create an image?
No. Parameter controls are also available. Choose the approach that lets you describe the idea clearly; a text prompt is useful when you need to explain a particular scene.
Does the format choice set an exact image resolution?
Portrait, Landscape and Square set the shape of the composition. Look for a separate specification if you require particular pixel dimensions or an exported file type.
Are image requests included without charge on Ultimate?
No. The unlimited allowance is for messages, while image generation has its own listed token charge. Read the request total and balance before proceeding.
Can DarLink retouch or transform a photo I upload?
Use the generator to create a new character picture. Before importing a photograph for retouching, check the available upload controls and the specific edits they support. Do not assume face swapping is included.
Do I need another request to turn the picture into a video?
Yes. A still image and an animated clip are separate outputs. Move to the video workflow and check its access requirement, options and cost before submitting.
